LECO's painter's glass veil is the ideal solution for renovating and repairing load-bearing substrates, as well as for painting over and/or smoothing and strengthening wall and indoor ceiling surfaces. In addition, the fleece can be used as a crack bridge in cracked or crack-prone substrates. Due to the special processing, it is ideal for object areas and particularly heavily used areas such as corridors, stairwells and lounges. In addition, the glass veil is dimensionally stable, tear-resistant, rot-proof and wet-stable and suitable for painting over.
The substrate should be dry, colour-matched, clean and stable. Remove old wallpaper and water-swelling paint. Cracks, joints and unevenness should be professionally leveled out with a gypsum-based filler. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. Attach with fibreglass special adhesive or dispersion adhesive. Cut strips to the required length, allowing 5 - 10 cm to even out the top and bottom edges. Apply the adhesive evenly to the substrate in 1 - 2 strips with a lambskin roller. Place the strip that has been cut to size in the still wet adhesive bed and press on with a wallpapering spatula or a wallpapering roller without creating bubbles. Glue the subsequent lengths butt together. After drying, the fleece can be painted with dispersion, latex or acrylic paints as required.
