Background® PRO 5in1 is a smooth fleece made of cellulose and polyester fibers with an acrylic binder, pre-pigmented and white pre-coated on one side. The smooth fleece is an ideal base for painting and design work, as it is breathable and forms an even, level surface. It is also ideal for renovating and restoring substrates that tend to crack. The fleece is pre-coated, which saves time and material when working. Background PRO offers maximum opacity and optimal color absorption and is tear-resistant, hard-wearing, crack-bridging, dimensionally stable. In addition, Background Pro is skin-friendly and free of PVC, solvents, plasticizers, formaldehyde and heavy metals.
The surface should be dry, colour-matched, clean and stable. Remove old wallpaper and water-swellable paint beforehand. Level out cracks, joints and unevenness with plaster of paris. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. Smooth non-wovens are wallpapered like normal non-woven wallpapers with non-woven adhesive. After drying, paint over with dispersion, latex or acrylic paint as you wish. Alternatively, the fleece can also be coated using the airless method. For a perfect result, we recommend finishing with a short-pile paint roller.
