edition No. 1 paints allow you to design your own four walls in wonderful colours. With edition No1 wall paints, you can not only paint over woodchip wallpaper, but also non-woven wallpaper, paper wallpaper and vinyl wallpaper. You can also use the paint on plaster, concrete and plasterboard, provided they have been primed, as well as on plastic plasters. Old emulsion-based paint coats can also be painted over thanks to the outstanding opacity. Be inspired by the many colour shades with fabulous names and design your interior according to your ideas with the premium emulsion. Each colour has an extra matt finish, giving your living spaces a sophisticated look.

Application:

edition No1 emulsion paint is suitable for new coats and renovation coats in all interior areas. The paint can be applied by rolling, brushing or spraying. Paint normal to heavily soiled and coloured surfaces with just one coat. For smooth surfaces, apply with a high-quality short pile or medium pile roller to achieve a smooth and even coating result. For textured surfaces, use a long pile roller to achieve a comfortable application and ensure that all recesses in the texture are filled. We also recommend moistening the paint roller slightly with water to ensure good paint absorption and application. When using a paint sprayer, the wall paint must be diluted with water to spray viscosity. edition No1 paint is ready to use and only needs to be stirred well before use. The wall paint is surface-dry after approx. 2-4 hours and can be painted over after approx. 6 hours. (Drying times vary depending on the substrate, humidity and application thickness).

Surface preparation:

The surface to be painted should be clean, dry, free of dust and grease, firm and stable to ensure a perfect finish and secure adhesion.
Highly absorbent substrates (usually untreated plaster and concrete surfaces, masonry or plasterboard) should be pre-treated with a deep penetrating primer. You can recognise absorbent substrates by the fact that they turn a dark colour when dabbed with a damp sponge or cloth.
Fill cracks, holes or other imperfections with a suitable levelling compound
Peeling and chalking old paint, distemper and non-adherent wallpaper should be removed without leaving any residue and thoroughly washed with clean water, then treated with a deep penetrating primer.
Paint over stubborn stains (e.g. caused by water, grease, nicotine, soot, etc.) with a special insulating and sealing primer to prevent these stains from penetrating later on
In the case of superficial mould infestation on walls and ceilings, first brush off the mould and then treat with a mould remover (use biocides carefully. Always read the label and product information before use).
Lightly sand glossy emulsion paints or pre-treat with a leaching agent
Allow new plasters to dry for at least 4 weeks
