Wilckens chalk paint in gray is ideal for the creative design of wooden furniture indoors. The gray color is also suitable for furniture in protected outdoor areas as it is light- and weather-resistant as well as UV-stable. To give your furniture a trendy vintage look, you can lightly sand the paint with sandpaper after it has dried. The water-based paint cares for and protects your wooden furniture and has a moisture-regulating effect.
The surface must be clean, dry, oil-free, grease-free and stable. Unstable and peeling paintwork should be removed. The wooden surfaces should be pre-treated with insulating primer. Critical and highly absorbent surfaces should be primed with deep primer. The paint should be stirred well before use. When processing several containers, it is important to ensure that the batches are identical. The base coat can be diluted with up to 5% water. After drying, an undiluted top coat should be applied. For a vintage look, apply two coats in contrasting colors. The top layer should then be lightly sanded with sandpaper and wiped with a damp cloth to reveal the color underneath. For furniture, it is recommended to use a matt protective varnish as a final coat.
