The highly diffusible dispersion silicate facade paint from Wilckens protects all mineral substrates such as lime, lime cement, cement plaster, concrete and intact, old silicate, mineral and emulsion paints with a durable finish against weathering and acid rain. The color can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is highly opaque, easy to work with, highly permeable to water vapor, plasticiser-free, insensitive to algae, moss and microorganisms due to high alkalinity and silicifies inseparably with the substrate. The color is white, but can be mixed up to a maximum of 10% with suitable (silicate) full and tinting paints. Not suitable for substrates such as gypsum plaster, oil, lime, distemper, wood and metal surfaces.
On suitable, clean, dry, level, pay attention to a load-bearing, absorbent and adhesive surface. Completely remove non-intact/unsuitable coatings before painting, touch up damaged areas with a spatula. Thoroughly wash off/remove distemper/lime paints and chalky substrates. Clean heavily soiled surfaces with a fat-dissolving household cleaner. Cover glass, metal, tiles, natural/artificial stone, clinker, ceramics, wood, etc. Wipe up spills immediately. Prime the substrate as required. air, object, material. Do not use at temperatures below +8°C (applies to the environment and substrate) and not in strong heat or direct sunlight. Stir well before use. Apply a primer with a maximum of 5 - 10% water or thinned with Wilckens Silikatgrund. Then apply 1 - 2 undiluted coats, roll, brush, airless spray in a crosswise operation wet-on-wet. Depending on the substrate and heavily weathered surfaces, repeat 3 times. The surface is dry after approx. 2-3 hours. Recoatable after approx. 12 hours, rainproof after 24 hours. Clean tools with soap and water immediately after use.
Consumption:
approx. 6 - 7 m²/L for one coat, depending on the condition / absorbency of the substrate.
Caution! Contains reaction mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1); 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May cause allergic reactions. Advice for isothiazolinone allergy sufferers on Tel.: +49 (0) 4124-606-188.
