The glass fabric and non-woven adhesive GK ready from PUFAS is a ready-to-use adhesive for woodchip, renovation and reinforcement non-woven, embossed non-woven, non-woven woodchip, textile wallpaper, heavy wall coverings, glass fabric and digitally printed wallpaper up to 350 g/m² and paintable wall coverings.
The premium quality of the adhesive enables secure and permanent bonding. This is suitable for all types of application, such as with a wallpapering machine and wall pasting technology. Not only is the adhesive easy to correct, it also has very high initial adhesion and secure adhesion, even in the seam area. Another advantage of the adhesive is that it is solvent and plasticizer-free and pH-neutral.
Firstly, the surface must be free of old wallpaper, poorly adhering paints and distempers and free of release agents, dry and stable. If necessary, repair cracks, holes and bumps with a filler. If the substrate is highly absorbent, chalking or sandy, it should be pre-treated with Tiefengrund. The ready-to-use adhesive is stirred well before use. Care should be taken to ensure even distribution when applying. If this is not observed, it can lead to disruptions in the surface appearance of the wallpaper and other visual impairments. The escaping adhesive must then be immediately removed from the surface in the seam area with a damp sponge. The adhesive can be applied either with a wallpapering device, roller or with an airless device. The drying time is approx. 24 hours (at 20 °C, 65% relative humidity and moderately absorbent substrate). Higher air humidity, lower temperatures or low absorbency of the subsurface prolong the drying time.
