Herbol Rekordspachtel is a ready-to-use wall and ceiling filler for interior use. It is suitable for smoothing concrete, aerated concrete, plasterboard and similar substrates as well as for levelling old coatings based on plastic dispersions. The record filler can be diluted with water and is free from solvents and plasticisers.
The substrate must be solid, clean, stable, dry and free from efflorescence, fungal attack, layers of powdery grain, sintered layers and separating agents. In the case of soiling such as soot or chalking components, the substrate must be cleaned beforehand. If present, repair major substrate damage with a suitable filler. Prime the substrate if necessary. The record filler can then be applied in a thin layer with a stainless steel trowel and smoothed. Depending on the condition of the substrate, several coats may be necessary. Once dry, the filler can be painted over. The surface should be primed before wallpapering.
