The Wilckens boat and yacht varnish is suited for both, indoor and outdoor use. Due to its excellent material characteristics, the transparent varnish can be applied on all surfaces above the waterline. It has an excellent gloss and colour retention and is resistant to abrasions and shocks. In addition, the boat and yacht coating provides a solid protection against sea and river water.
Notice: The surface has to be clean, dry, free from grease and lime residues as well as silicone and mold. Silicone joints must be removed and renewed after painting. Before coating, old coatings has to be roughened with sandpaper. Process the product according to manufacturer's operation instructions. This product should be stored in a safe place and out of the reach of children. Take all necessary safety-related measures to ensure a safe use.
1. Coating on wood, inside and outside
a) Preparing the substrate professionally
b) 1 exterior coat with wood primer as blue stain protection
c) 1 primer coat 50 % diluted with turpentine substitute
d) carefully sand after 24 hours (300 sandpaper)
e) 1. intermediate coat of boat and yacht paint thinned with approx. 30 % turpentine substitute
f) 2. intermediate coat of boat and yacht paint thinned with approx. 15 % turpentine substitute
g) Finishing coat with boat and yacht paint undiluted
2. Paint build-up on old paint coats or renovation paint coats
a) Prepare the substrate accordingly
b) 1 - 2 coats of boat and yacht paint
