McPaint coloured paint is a paint and primer in one and is therefore not only easy to use, but can also be used universally for the colour design of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces. The different colours make it possible to create an individual colour scheme to suit your taste with a chic gloss or semi-gloss finish. The coloured paint is scratch, impact and shock-resistant, UV-stable and weather-resistant, as well as environmentally friendly and low-odour. The 2in1 coloured lacquer is suitable for new coats and renovation coats on furniture, doors and windows.
Substrates: Wood, metal (iron, steel, zinc), paintable plastics, plaster, concrete and masonry.
Drying time (depending on substrate and environment): Surface dry after approx. 2 hours, recoatable after approx. 12 hours
Surface preparation:
To ensure secure adhesion and a perfect paint finish, prepare the substrate as described below.
Application:
Stir the product well before use and then apply by rolling, brushing or spraying. Do not apply or allow to dry in direct sunlight or precipitation.
New coating: For priming, prime the wood indoors with Wood Primer, or with Wood Insulation Primer if coating with light colours. Pre-treat exterior softwood with Blue Stain Protection Wood Primer. Here too, apply an additional wood insulating primer for light-coloured paint. Prime iron and steel with a rust protection primer. Prime zinc with an acrylic primer. Prime aluminium with a special primer. Prime paintable plastics with a plastic primer (check adhesion in advance on a test surface). Priming is not necessary on first coats in good condition.
Apply 1 - 2 undiluted top coats with this product. Before each coat, lightly sand and dust the substrate after drying.
Renovation coat: Completely remove flaking and unstable old coats down to the substrate and then treat as a new coat. Clean well-preserved, open-pored old coats, sand and apply an undiluted coat of this paint.
