The Kip stone tapes are made of a fabric and a coating made of PE plastic. Despite their extremely high strength, they can be easily torn off by hand, are water and oil resistant, mechanically resilient and resistant to a variety of chemical influences. The universally applicable tape is ideal for indoor and outdoor masking work, for sandblasting and repair work, for watertight sealing of containers, for asbestos removal and also for the safe packaging of transport goods. The mesh specification (number of threads per square inch) determines the influence of the fabric used on the mechanical properties. The material and strength of the threads also play an important role. The plastering strip has been specially developed for plasterers: It consists of a 32 mesh fabric with rubber adhesive and can be removed without leaving any residue after up to 2 weeks. It is also UV-resistant and moisture-resistant. However, caution should be exercised when using on painted surfaces. The tape is suitable for temperatures up to 60°C.
