LECO Painter's Glass non-woven Plus Aqua is a glass non-woven coated/primed white on both sides with a factory-applied, water-activated paste finish and is versatile due to its properties. It is ideal for smoothing and consolidating interior wall and ceiling surfaces as well as for renovating and refurbishing load-bearing substrates. It can also be used to bridge cracks in cracked or crack-prone substrates. Due to its high-quality primer, it is particularly suitable for use in the commercial sector, as an evenly absorbent paint absorption is guaranteed. This saves time and labour. In addition, the glass non-woven is dimensionally stable, rot-proof and free of PVC, solvents and plasticisers.
The substrate must be dry, of the same colour, clean and load-bearing. Old wallpaper and water-swellable coatings must be removed. Cracks, joints and unevenness must be professionally filled with gypsum-based levelling compounds. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. Cut the strips to the required length, adding 5-10 cm to compensate for the top and bottom edges. Pull the wallpaper through the aqua unit and fold it into loops. The applied paste activates within approx. 1 minute, for ceiling bonding approx. 2-3 minutes activation time is necessary. Do not leave the fabric in the water bath. Apply the strips butt-jointed or with a double-seam cut and press down with a wallpaper spatula until bubble-free. Carefully press the excess into the corners and cut off along the trimming ruler with a sharp cutter knife. When using the double-seam cut, lay strips approx. 3-5 cm overlapping and cut through both strips vertically without damaging the substrate. Remove strips and press cut edges. Remove adhesive on the visible side completely immediately with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not apply below 8°C room/wall temperature. After drying, paint over with dispersion, latex or acrylic paints, as desired and depending on use.
