Glass fabric wallpapers are versatile due to their properties and are quick and easy to apply. They are perfect for contract areas and heavily used areas. The glass fibre wallpapers are also impact-resistant, crack-bridging, dimensionally stable, as well as wet-stable and rot-resistant. The wallpaper has a coarse structure that resembles interlinked fabric. Despite the colour- and time-saving pre-priming, the wallpaper can be painted over individually after application. In addition, it contains no PVC, solvents or softeners.
The substrate should be dry, of the same colour, clean and stable. Remove old wallpaper and water-swelling paint. Cracks, seams and unevenness should be professionally levelled with a plaster-based filler. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. Fix with glass fibre adhesive. Cut the sheets to the required length, adding 5 - 10 cm to compensate for the top and bottom edges. Apply the adhesive evenly to the substrate in widths of 1 - 2 strips using a lambskin roller. Lay the cut strip into the still wet adhesive bed and press it down with a wallpaper spatula or wallpaper roller without leaving any bubbles. Glue subsequent strips butt to butt. Cut off the excess. After drying, the wallpaper can be painted over with dispersion, latex or acrylic paint. After painting, the protruding fibres must be sanded.
